ECOtherm PCM™ in Action
ECOtherm PCM™ is installed above ceilings to absorb heat, allowing cooler air to sink as that heat is absorbed. The PCM passively captures excess thermal energy from the building during the day then releases and disperses it at night, at controlled times and/or specific temperatures.
The building above with ECOtherm PCM™ installed has a -8° cooler plenum return air temperature measured at the HVAC unit, which means less energy is used to air condition this building. Our proprietary products and systems deliver dramatic savings on your heating and cooling costs.
As you can see in this chart, an ECOtherm PCM™ installation stablilizes the temperatures in a building, keeping them between 72-78º, the optimal comfort zone for occupants.
